2017 Western Canada Cup: Early Bird Tournament Package On Sale

The biggest Western Canadian Junior ‘A’ Championship is coming to Penticton in 2017. The Penticton Vees Jr. ‘A’ Hockey Club, in conjunction with the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), has been awarded the 2017 Western Canada Cup (WCC) April 29 to May 7, 2017. The Vees, along with the champions of the BCHL, Alberta Junior Hockey League, Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League and Manitoba Junior Hockey League will participate in a five-team tournament for the WCC title. Featuring Canucks, Flames, Oilers and Jets prospects The Vancouver Canucks will host the 2015 Young Stars Classic for the fifth year at the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton, running from Friday, September 11 to Monday, September 14. Kelowna Rockets begin WHL playoffs

The Kelowna Rockets open the first round of the 2015 WHL playoffs against the Tri City Americans. This is the eighth consecutive appearance in the post season for the Kelowna Rockets, reaching the playoffs 19 times in the franchise's 20-year history. The Rockets finished in first place in the Western Conference with 53 wins. Their 53 wins and 112 points was the second highest total in franchise history. Kelowna Rockets pick up first round NHL draft pick

Kelowna Rockets President/GM Bruce Hamilton has announced a major trade involving four players and two draft picks with one of the top defenceman in the Western Hockey League coming Kelowna’s way. The Rockets have acquired defenceman Josh Morrissey and forward Gage Quinney from the Prince Albert Raiders in exchange for Rockets players Austin Glover and Jesse Lees as well as WHL bantam draft picks in 2016 and 2017.
