“Our anniversary is an opportunity to celebrate with families and communities across the Okanagan,” says publisher John Paul Byrne. “We’re excited to partner with the H2O Centre, who our readers have voted Best of the Okanagan.”

The H2O Centre, the largest publicly-owned water park in Canada, features three thrilling waterslides as well the FlowRider, an ocean wave surf simulator that is ideal for the boogie border. A river run with waves and floating devices offers an exciting ride and the wave pool creates waves up to 1.5m high. The children’s water play area is packed with toys, spray nozzles and jets.

Voting for the 2013 Best of the Okanagan annual readers choice award has just closed with the winners to be announced in the November/December issue of Okanagan Life.

The city and regional magazine, which publishes ten times a year, first came off the press in the fall of 1988. Its circulation extends from Salmon Arm to Osoyoos.

Byrne has been making a splash with the anniversary milestone, celebrating in communities across the Okanagan Valley, recently holding a wine and art event in West Kelowna and a ride on the historic steam railway in Summerland. The gala celebration – the Okanagan Life Cover Party – to be held at the Delta Grand Okanagan on November 22 is a showcase of Okanagan music, wine and food and will help raise funds for Ballet Kelowna.

“Over the years, we’ve taken great effort to support local charities and arts groups in communities across the Valley and our anniversary is no exception,” says Byrne.

The H2O Adventure & Fitness Centre is located at 4075 Gordon Drive in Kelowna. Entry for the family swim can be paid at the H2O Centre with the discount swim coupon available from the magazine’s website, okanaganlfe.com.
