Head to the South Okanagan July 1 for the Osoyoos Cherry Fiesta and Canada Day celebration and take in the largest Canada Day fireworks display in Western Canada. Cherry Fiesta features a pancake breakfast, parade, live entertainment, Cherry Pit Spit and cherry pie eating contest.
Cherry Fiesta kicks off with a $5 pancake breakfast hosted by the Osoyoos Lions Club from 7-11 a.m. at town square, followed by the Cherry Fiesta Parade along Main Street beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Down at Gyro Park, activities abound, including craft and food vendors, the Elk’s beer garden, the cherry pie eating contest at 2:30 p.m., the cherry pit spit at 3 p.m. and a full day of entertainment at the Gyro Bandshell from noon until 10 p.m.
At dusk take in the largest Canada Day fireworks display in Western Canada, all arranged to music.
Festival organizers expects the festival to draw between 8-10,000 people this year.
