Mexico’s Sugar Skull tradition celebrated in Kelowna

sugar-skull-struct-rotary-kelowna-10Sugar Skull Strut, Rotary Centre for the Arts’ Signature Event, is this Friday, October 30. Inspired by El Día de los Muertos or ‘Day of the Dead’, it is traditionally a festive time of year in Mexico honoring past souls and loved ones.

Doors open at 8 pm and the Rotary Centre for the Arts’ usual modern architecture will be transformed into a colourful hacienda, dressed from top to bottom with flowers and banners akin to Mexico’s Sugar Skull Tradition.sugar-skull
