Romanesque lines, multiple roofs, exposed rafter tails, stucco, tile and the rich warm tones of the earth speak of an elegant Tuscan heritage in this five bedroom, five-and-a-half bath villa built by Frame Custom Homes. With over 6,000 sq. ft. of living space on three levels, Ginette Interiors had tremendous scope to develop the old world theme. Heritage elements work seamlessly beginning with hand-scraped hickory flooring and the handcrafted wrought iron railing by Westside Railing Solutions that defines the foyer staircase and floating bridge, creating a circular space opening immediately onto the great room with its requisite lake and city view. Ideal for entertaining, the kitchen also offers chef-friendly appliances like the six-burner 48-inch Thermador range, adjoining butler’s pantry and separate formal dining room with its own valley view and access to outdoor cooking and living on the full width deck. The master suite shares access to the deck through nine-foot sliding glass doors. The unique shape of this room is highlighted by a 10-foot coffered ceiling and angled windows, while the freeform bath continues the old world theme with travertine floor and marble shower, footed iron tub and separate vanities. In a nod to modern comfort, the floor is heated and the shower outfitted with multiple heads. Two bed-and-bath suites on the lower level share space with an office, wine room and a family/games room complete with wet bar that opens to serve guests on the pool deck.
