Additional credits include: Crazy For You (5 years on Broadway and the West End, Tony and Olivier Award Winner for Best Musical), Moon Over Buffalo (Broadway and West End), The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (Broadway), Treasure Island (West End), Twentieth Century (Broadway), Leading Ladies,Shakespeare in HollywoodThe Fox on the FairwayThe Three Musketeers and The Beaux’ Stratagem.

THE BIG SICK: Pakistan-born comedian Kumail Nanjiani knows his traditional Muslim family would be unhappy with his relationship with his American girlfriend, Emily (Zoe Kazan) — if they knew. Emily finds out that Kumail hasn't told his parents about her and that if he does, they'll disown him. Their relationship falters. When Emily is admitted to the hospital for a mysterious infection that is so serious the doctors want to induce a coma, Kumail immediately calls her parents — Beth (Holly Hunter) and Terry (Ray Romano). Although they're chilly at first and try to get rid of him, Kumail stays by Emily's bedside, especially as they learn more about Emily's frightening condition. (Elevation)

DUNKIRK: In 1940, during the early days of World War II, hundreds of thousands of Allied soldiers from Britain, Belgium and Canada find themselves trapped on the beach of the French coastal town of Dunkirk as they face an impossible crisis. They've been cut off and surrounded by ruthless German Nazi troops. Over the course of eight days, the men must struggle to survive and hope for rescue. Starring: Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy, Fionn Whitehead, Aneurin Barnard, Harry Styles, James D'Arcy, Jack Lowden, Barry Keoghan, and Tom Glynn-Carney. (Warner Bros.)

DESPICABLE ME 3 (2D): Gru discovers from his mother that he has a twin brother, Dru, whom he's never met. Dru was given to his father to raise after their parents' divorce. Brothers Gru and Dru (both voiced by Steve Carell) finally reunite. Meanwhile, former '80s child star Balthazar Bratt (Trey Parker) has been bitter since puberty, when his TV series was abruptly cancelled. To exact revenge for what he sees were unjustified wrongdoings, he hatches a plan for world domination. To stop him, Gru, Gru’s wife Lucy (Kristen Wiig), their children, Gru's long-lost twin brother and the Minions must band together. Also voices by: Russell Brand, and Miranda Cosgrove. (Universal)

SPIDER-MAN HOMECOMING (2D/3D): Young Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is a high school student who lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei) in a high-rise in Queens. A bit of a misfit, when he discovers his abilities as Spider-Man, he tries to figure out what to do with his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero. He gets advice from Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) on how to become an Avenger. However, when he encounters the ruthless Adrian Toomes, a.k.a. The Vulture (Michael Keaton), the villain threatens Peter, telling the teen that if he interferes with him, he will kill Peter and everyone he loves. With Iron Man's guidance, Peter discovers he has to be more than just what the Spidey suit can do for him in order to fight to protect his loved ones. Also starring: Zendaya Coleman, Jon Favreau, and Donald Glover. (Sony)

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN – DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES (2D): A down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) finds his life on the line when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil's Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea — including Captain Jack. In order to survive, Jack seeks out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that empowers whomever possesses it with total control over the seas. Also starring: Brenton Thwaites, Kaya Scodelario, Geoffrey Rush, and Orlando Bloom. (Disney)

THE HOUSE: When their daughter Alex (Ryan Simpkins) gets accepted to Buckley University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, Scott and Kate Johansen (Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler) are thrilled beyond belief. However, when they discover that the $401,000 they thought they had for their daughter's college fund doesn't exist, they realize they don't have the money for Alex's tuition. Unwilling to let her know, they listen to their neighbor Frank (Jason Mantzoukas), who tells them he has a way for them to earn enough money for four years of tuition in one month by starting an illegal casino in his basement, complete with strippers, an 11-year-old DJ and female MMA fighting matches. (Warner Bros.)

GIRLS TRIP: Four lifelong friends (Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith and Tiffany Haddish) go on a trip to New Orleans for the Crescent City's annual Essence Festival -- where sisterhoods are rekindled, wild sides are rediscovered, and there’s enough dancing, drinking, brawling and romancing to make the Big Easy blush. (Universal)

ATOMIC BLONDE: MI6 agent Lorraine Broughton (Charlize Theron) is the crown jewel of Her Majesty’s Secret Intelligence Service. A cutthroat agent, she's willing to deploy any one of her skills in order to stay alive while on the mission. Lorraine is sent to Berlin during the Cold War to investigate the death of a fellow agent, who happened to be a former lover of hers. She's given the task of uncovering the ruthless people behind his murder and of finding out more about the information the slain agent had in his possession. Folk music tour: Ellen Froese & Derek Curtis @ Barley Station brew Pub
Sep 21 @ 9:00 pm

Coming together over the Canadian Border, Ellen Froese and Derek Curtis will be touring across Western Canada and playing their folk music from Saskatchewan through British Columbia. With Ellen hailing from Saskatoon and Derek from Nashville, this co-national tour will be full of songs and stories of two young minds. Both artist are coming out with their first albums this year and will be playing those songs plus ones from their other works.

Hailing from a dairy farm in Saskatchewan, young hip-swinger-folk-singer Ellen Froese is not Joan Baez or a sheep, but the vibrato in her voice may tell otherwise. As both a solo folk artist and a member of the bluegrass/folk group In With The Old, there is no doubt that Ellen is a busy bee as she balances the multiple performances and projects of her two artistic endeavours.

Whether performing a traditional tune or a freshly penned original, the multi-instrumentalist does it with an air of authenticity – all empered with a healthy dose of self-deprecation.

Ellen will be releasing her second solo album in September 2017, followed by a tour of Western Canada.

Originally from the heart of New England in northeastern United States, Derek Curtis first fell in love with the folk music of Greenwich Village from the 60’s of New York City. For the past 6 years now, he has been based out of Nashville TN playing in the home of country music. As a student of american songwriting, his sound now blends the folky songwriting with the tradtional country and bluegrass styles he's come to learn.

His newly released debut album “Carpetbagger” is the retrospective of time in both the north and south and which side he now calls home.
