Family New Year’s Eve event returns to Stuart Park
Building on the successful and well attended inaugural event presented in 2012, Festivals Kelowna is once again holding the New York New Year's family celebration on Tuesday, December 31 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Stuart Park, across from City Hall in downtown Kelowna.
"Based on the overwhelmingly positive response from the community, we knew we had a winner on our hands with this new event," says Renata Mills, Executive Director, Festivals Kelowna. "It's been a little while since Kelowna has had an all-ages appropriate event to ring in the New Year, so we knew there was an opportunity to meet that need in our community."

The line up include the City of Kelowna's Park 'n' Play program, Karaoke and Wii stations, and Canadian-themed games like "Toss the Beaver" and "Canadian Goose Egg Drop." New this year is a a twitter wall with with a live feed broadcast of those tweeting New Year's wishes (#NYEKelowna).
A favourite from last year, there will also be a snow pile onsite for kids to climb upon and build a snowman.
