Cassini Cellars sweep wine awards

Gold Mile Bench celebrated as Cassini Cellars named best winery Each bottle of wine should communicate something distinct, something unique about the region it comes from, believes proprietor Adrian Cassini. The combination of unique terroir and a dedication to craft led Cassini Cellars to capture five medals—four of them gold—at the 2016 Okanagan Life Best of BC Wine Awards. Rosé on the rise

The Okanagan lifestyle, for most, is known for its simplicity—informal dining (with a touch of the inter-national) and openness to new experiences. The rise in rosé wines is very much in step with this verve. The 2015 world wine market report shows rosé wines recording the highest growth and a growing world trend. At Centre Court with the Okanagan’s Vasek Pospisil

It was an overcast July day last summer at the All England Club centre court at Wimbledon when Vasek Pospisil raised the championship cup over his head. Victory on the largest, and oldest, tennis stage in the world came quite unexpectedly to the young 24-year old, who as a child dreamed he could be there one day, if only to compete, well alone win the title. Now he stood in celebration with doubles partner American Jack Sock at his side. Winning the title for the unseeded pair came as a shock to the tennis world and themselves. At the...
