Since 1967, the Downtown Vernon (DVA) has worked to promote Downtown Vernon as a unique and dynamic destination for entertainment, goods and services. We encourage people to shop local, support local businesses and participate in community events. Through a variety of programs and services the DVA works to strengthen the economic vitality of Downtown Vernon. The DVA is not a stand-alone organization, nor a function of the City of Vernon. KGH Foundation: legacy gifts ensure the future

The work of the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation reaches far beyond the hospital. This independent, volunteer-driven organization also enhances the delivery of health care through four extended care facilities, the Central Okanagan Hospice House and community mental health programs. The KGH Foundation receives tremendous support from our community. Local resident, Dorothy Thomson supports the Foundation with annual donations and recently supported the Foundation’s Giving Giggles Campaign. She has also included a legacy gift through her will.
